Bath, UK Bath를 찾아가는 과정에서 또한번 짧은 영어 때문에 고생을 했어야 했다.... 기차역에서 어떻게 Bath에 가냐고 했더니만, "쩬지 엣 디컷빠ㅋ웨ㅣ" 이렇게 대답했다.. 도대체 무슨 말일까?ㅋㅋ 뭔가를 갈아타야 하는 단어는 분명 "transfer"로 알고 있었는데...ㅋㅋㅋ 기차역 직원이 했던 말은..."change at the didcotparkway" 였다... didcotparkway가 기차역 이름이었는데... 첨든는 지명이라 전혀 들을 수가 없었다...ㅋㅋㅋ Oxford에서 열린 2011 TMS Summer School가 끝나고, 근처에 있는 도시인 Bath에 갔다. Oxford, UK (영국 옥스포드) 2011 TMS Summer School은 영국 옥스포드에서 열렸다. 영국은 미국과는 약간 다른 느낌으로, 언제부터인가 꼭 한번 경험해 보고 싶은 나라였기에 이번 학회가 무척이나 기대됬었는데... 막상 가보니, 다른 유럽 국가와 어떤 부분에서 크게 달랐는지? 잘 기억이 나질 않는다... 어쨌든... 나의 서툰 영어로 꾸역꾸역 London Heathrow 공항에서 Coach를 타고 Oxford까지 무사히 갈 수 있었다. 난 Bath Place Hotel을 사용했는데, 17세기의 호텔 느낌을 그대로 두었는지... 17세기 호텔이란 문구가 호텔 입구에 써있었다. 내가 사용항 방 앞에는 "정원? or 뜰?" 같은것이 있었는데... 친구와 둘이 왔으면.. 매일밤 Oxford의 달을 구경하면서 맥주한잔 하기에 딱 .. 2011. 6. 13.
